Cost of doing business?
Everyone's favorite evil empire is paying $150 million in antitrust-settlement tribute to a minor vassal. Interestingly, the amounts involved are so insignificant to Microsoft -- particularly compared to the cost in money and attention that a protracted dispute would require -- that the company may settle into a new model of expecting to screw up, paying a nominal penalty, and still coming out ahead.
